Good morning，distinguished professors!
My name is Mayi，I’m very glad to be here for this interview. I’m an optimistic person，outgoing，easy-going and rich in curiosity. Although I majored in Chinese language and literature in college，I have keen interested in history.
I spent my spare time reading many history books in the library when I was an undergraduate student.After graduation，I was employed as a Chinese composition teacher in Qiedu Study.
But I decided to quit and prepare for the entrance examination to the yearning school. Lots of people around me feel confused，and they couldn’t help asking me why.
Of course， doing Chinese business will bring more employment opportunities than history，but the most interesting thing in the world for me is the process and development between countries which history is committed to study.So，I am fascinated in it.
I always believe that one will easily lag behind unless he keeps on learning.So if I am given a chance to study General history of the world in this famous university，I will spare no efforts to make some achievements in the field.
家乡介绍整理：
Weifang is a city in the center of Shandong province.It is a historical city with well known figures.Also，as an emerging industrial city，Which has developed a complete industrial system，like textile and clothes.
Being the location of the headquarters of the International Kite Federation，Weifang is honored as the World Kite Metropolis.So it is a famous cultural and tourist city in China.
Other traditional customs，such as Annual Broad of Yangjiabu(杨家埠木版年画) and Paper cutting in Gaomi(高密剪纸) also have their long history.
As of now，attracted by the desirable investment environment and preferential policies，16 World Top 500 companies have established operations in Weifang.
喜欢的书籍：人类简史
《人类简史》是一部试图写清人类历史的书。然而它又截然差异于往期读过的历史叙述，那些书大多将目光集中在某一朝代、某一时期或者某一历史事件，他们写作的重点大多在于厘清事实。另有一些人类史、文明史，通常以文明为单元讲述已往，宏观归纳综合，重点在于叙述文明的生长与文明间的互动。
而作者试图通过该书来回覆人类是怎么样从一种普通的动物酿成世界的统治者，人类又要走向那边。因此，这本书的切入视角很是弘大，不拘泥于一国一土，反而有点类似于外太空史学家正在对人类的演化进行复盘。
书中给我比力深刻的看法如：“虚构和想象”的看法、对农业革命的奇特看法、关于宗教和乡村的论述（哥贝克石阵讲明有可能是先有宗教，后衍生出乡村）以及人类统一的三条门路（商业、宗教、帝国）另有科学革命下人类对自己无知的认同（早期的知识体系是用故事组成理论，耳现在科学用的则是数学）。
尤瓦尔在学术领域和公共出书领域的专攻，也导致了他笔下的历史同时具有了学术性与可读性的双重价值，在中国出书之后，曾引起过巨大的回声。
北京大学历史学教授高毅曾评价该书为业内“奇书，该书不光涉及了物理学、化学、生物学、人类学、生态学等多种学科，而且对其引用亦很是精到，对作为一个物种的智人乃至整个社会的来龙去脉，都做出了全方位的考察和预测，堪称跨学科研究历史的规范。
Brief history of mankind is a book trying to write a clear history of mankind. However， it is quite different from the historical narration read in the past. Most of those books focus on a certain Dynasty， a certain period or a certain historical event， and most of their writing focuses on clarifying the facts. There are also some human history and civilization history， which usually narrate the past in the unit of civilization. The macro generalization focuses on the development of civilization and the interaction between civilizations.
Through this book， the author tries to answer how human beings changed from a common animal to a ruler of the world， and where human beings are going. Therefore， the perspective of this book is very broad， not limited to one country and one land， but a bit similar to that of the outer space historians who are making a review of human evolution.
The book gives me more profound concepts， such as the concept of “fiction and imagination“， the unique view of the agricultural revolution， the elaboration of religion and villages (the gobeck stone circle indicates that there may be religion first， and then the villages) and the three ways of human unity (Commerce， religion， Empire) and the recognition of human ignorance under the scientific revolution (the early knowledge system is The theory is made up of stories， but now the science is based on mathematics.
Yuval's specialization in the academic field and the public publishing field has also led to the dual value of academic and readability in his history. After publishing in China， it has caused great repercussions.
Gao Yi， a history professor at Peking University， once described the book as a “marvelous book“ in the industry. It not only involves physics， chemistry， biology， anthropology， ecology and many other disciplines， but also has a very sophisticated quotation. It has made a comprehensive investigation and prediction on the origin and development of Homo sapiens as a species and even the whole society， which can be regarded as a model of interdisciplinary research history.
